I have been meaning to post my review since Valentines Day!! I went in terrified of a new stylist!!. I saw Carol that day she gave me an awesome relaxer, and gave me tips on to to care for my thinning hair due to medications. I have gone back a few times after that, and the owner Pat is super professional and helps her stylists!!! I am SUPER particular about cleanliness and appearances and this salon is tops on both!!!! I will definitely go back!!

I just might have found my regular salon and stylist. I visited Textures for the first time today after finding it listed on the web. I took a chance and made an appointment despite their lack of Yelp reviews. Lucky for me, I had a great experience.

The salon was very well kept. It was clean and in pretty good condition. The stylists were very professional and pleasant. They also have a wide range of services, from relaxers to loc maintenance, and the prices seem reasonable.

Carol was my stylist and she did a great job. She made sure that I had a comfortable shampoo, checking with me on the water temperature and the intensity of her wash. She was also very knowledgeable and honest. I asked for a flexi-rod style, and even though it was an expensive service, she recommended a cheaper style explaining that it would be a better choice since I'm transitioning from a relaxer to natural hair.

If you're an African-American woman looking for a salon in the Montgomery County area, I highly recommend trying Textures.

I have been going to Textures and had my hair done by the owner Patricia. I love her work and my hair looks good when I walk out of the salon. Patricia has products for sale if you want to use what she is using. My trim was just that! She didn't seem too scissor happy and butcher me!The relaxer was straight and really nice. I got a lot of compliments. Though, the cons is that you are going to PAY! My touch up was around 100 bucks with a trim. I am not used to paying that much in DC. Though, since I live close, I will keep going and make Pat my reg stylist.
